What is this event?
The Computing Beyond Computing camp is a (2-day) day camp where high school students will develop their analytical and creative skills. Students will work with UNL Professors and UNL Students to learn about cutting-edge research by participating in hands-on and engaging activities that mix computing, the arts, and biology -- a truly interdisciplinary camp. Our goal is to get students to think beyond a single subject and learn how computing can be applied to different interest areas to reach new heights. See a link to the schedule and poster below.
Who can participate?
Any local or regional high school student is invited to attend.
No skill prerequisites required! We'll teach you what you need to know about coding, art, and biology.

November 9th & 10th from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

How do I sign up?
You may fill this form out to sign up. Sign up soon if your student wants to attend -- registration is limited to the first 25 students.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
All parents/legal guardians must sign a parental consent form that will be emailed to them. Students are unable to attend the camp unless their guardian has filled out the parental consent form. 
Camp Organizers:
This camp is hosted by the Molecular and Biochemical Telecommunications (MBiTe) Lab and the Research in Computing Education (RICE) Lab, led by Dr. Massimiliano and Dr. Leen-Kiat Soh, respectively.
